Built Tago, a tarot platform where experts read the cards by live video call.

Scope your platform

How did InApps help Tago?

Tago is a Vietnamese platform where people find tarot readers and experts who explain what their cards mean. InApps, a software company in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, built it: one-to-one readings by live video call through the Zoom API, a subdomain of its own for every expert on one multi-tenant platform, payments through Stripe, Ngân Lượng and Alepay, and notifications by email, SMS and push.

About Tago

Tago calls itself the first platform in Vietnam for finding tarot readers. People come to it for advice on what their cards mean, for quick insights from tarot experts, and for one-to-one readings over video, where the expert explains each card as they talk.

The challenge

A reading over video only works if the call holds. Tago also needed every expert to have a space of their own without running a separate site for each, customers who pay in different ways, and a way to reach both sides by email, SMS or push.

A reading that drops halfway is a reading the customer will not pay for again.

The solution

We built Tago on Laravel and MySQL, with the front end in React and Vue.js, bundled with Webpack and styled in Sass. Video readings run through the Zoom API, so calls between customers and experts stay stable in real time. The platform is multi-tenant: every expert gets a subdomain of their own on one codebase. Customers pay by card through Stripe or through Vietnam's Ngân Lượng and Alepay, and notifications go out by email, SMS, and mobile and web push.

Questions about this project

InApps, a software company in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, built Tago's platform for tarot readings: live one-to-one video calls through the Zoom API, a subdomain for every expert on one multi-tenant platform, payments through Stripe, Ngân Lượng and Alepay, and notifications by email, SMS, and mobile and web push.
A Vietnamese platform where people find tarot readers and experts who explain the meaning of their cards, through quick insights or a one-to-one video reading. Tago describes itself as the first platform of its kind in Vietnam.
The customer and the tarot expert meet in a one-to-one video call inside Tago, and the expert explains each card as they talk. The calls run through the Zoom API rather than a video stack built from scratch, so they stay stable in real time.
Tago is multi-tenant: every expert gets a subdomain of their own, while all of them run on the same codebase and database. A new expert needs no new site, and every improvement reaches every expert at once.
Laravel on PHP with MySQL, and a front end in React and Vue.js, built with Webpack and Sass. Video calls use the Zoom API. Payments go through Stripe for cards, and through Ngân Lượng and Alepay, two Vietnamese gateways.
By building the product and connecting proven services, such as a video API and payment gateways, instead of rebuilding them. Tago was a custom software development project, built as software product development work, and connecting to outside services is part of our system integration service.
