Built Vleppo's blockchain contract platform, from Phase 1 into Phase 2.

Plan your Phase 1

How did InApps help Vleppo?

Vleppo, a Web3 company in Denmark founded in 2018, builds blockchain tools for business, including legal agreements drafted by lawyers and executed on a blockchain. InApps, a software company in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, built its digital asset and smart contract platform as one desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux, delivered Phase 1, solved its hardest blockchain problems, and stayed on for Phase 2.

About Vleppo

“Founded in 2018, Vleppo is a Web3 blockchain solution provider,” building “a Blockchain-integrated suite of business tools for freelancers, SMEs, and enterprises.” One of them is Your Legal Template: legal documents created by lawyers, with limitless copies and revisions, and blockchain enabled.

The challenge

Vleppo's platform had to validate, exchange and manage digital assets and run binding agreements as smart contracts, which is specialist blockchain work. It also had to ship as one desktop app on macOS, Windows and Linux, and Phase 1 had to be stable enough to demonstrate.

In a smart contract, a bug is not a glitch. It is part of a binding agreement.

The solution

We set up a dedicated team on Vleppo's roadmap. Blockchain engineers wrote the smart contracts in Solidity on Ethereum and built the layers that validate, exchange and manage digital assets. The desktop app runs from one codebase in React and Node.js on macOS, Windows and Linux, with the legal template library inside it. We planned Phase 1 around clear milestones, solved the hard blockchain problems as they came up, and kept Vleppo's team talking directly to our engineers.

How we run offshore teams
Dedicated team
  • Project manager
  • Solution architect
  • Blockchain engineers
  • Backend and cross-platform engineers
  • QA engineer

The stack

Ethereum Solidity React Node.js macOS Windows Linux
The Your Legal Template app, powered by Vleppo: a download screen with lawyer-drafted, blockchain-enabled templates and popular documents such as shareholder, loan, asset sale and licence agreements

The outcome

A working platform, and a client that came back for the next phase.

  • Phase 1 delivered on its milestones.
  • The hardest blockchain problems solved, and the product stable.
  • One desktop app running on macOS, Windows and Linux.
  • Kept on for Phase 2, on the trust built in Phase 1.

Questions about this project

What did InApps build for Vleppo?
InApps built Vleppo's digital asset and smart contract platform: smart contracts on Ethereum, the layers that validate, exchange and manage digital assets, and one desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux with a library of lawyer-drafted legal templates. InApps, a software company in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, delivered Phase 1 and continued into Phase 2.
What does the Vleppo platform do?
It manages documents and digital assets securely and executes contracts on a blockchain. Users pick a legal template drafted by lawyers, such as a shareholder, loan, asset sale or licence agreement, make as many copies and revisions as they need, and use it with blockchain-based execution.
How did InApps ship one desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux?
With one codebase in React and Node.js instead of three separate apps, so every feature reaches all three systems at once. Cross-platform engineers built the desktop app, and a QA engineer tested it across the three systems and the blockchain transactions.
Can a Vietnam-based team work for a Danish company?
Yes. Vietnam is six hours ahead of Denmark, five in European summer time, so the Danish morning is the Vietnamese afternoon. On Vleppo's platform, Vleppo's team worked directly with InApps engineers rather than through a go-between, and the work carried on from Phase 1 into Phase 2.
How does InApps build blockchain products?
With a team that knows smart contracts as well as the app around them, working in clear milestones. For Vleppo that was an offshore development center. InApps also builds products end to end through custom software development, or provides a dedicated development team.

Building on a blockchain? Start with a Phase 1, like Vleppo did.
