Designed and built Homerun's student-housing platform, from Figma to launch in six months.
Scope your productHow did InApps help Homerun?
Homerun, a Hanoi startup that runs off-campus dormitories for students, wanted a rental platform Gen Z would actually use, sold by subscription and launched fast. In 2025, a team of three from InApps, a software company in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, designed it in Figma and built it in React and Node.js on CMC Cloud in six months: the site where students find a room near their university.

About Homerun
Homerun calls itself a tech company doing real estate. It started from a real shortage: VinUni and nearby universities in Hanoi did not have enough dormitory places, so its founders, who had studied away from home themselves, set out to build managed student housing with a community around it.
The challenge
Homerun needed a rental platform built for Gen Z, on a subscription model rather than one-off leases, with the modern look younger renters expect from the apps they use every day. It also had to reach the market fast, to win early adopters in a crowded proptech space.
Built for Gen Z, sold by subscription, and needed fast.
The solution
We took the platform end to end, from UX/UI to deployment. We designed the screens in Figma around how students look for a room: by university, room type and budget. Then we built it in React and Node.js, with the subscription model in place from the start, and deployed it on CMC Cloud for stable hosting. We worked in short iterations, with Homerun's feedback after each one, and took it from first design to launch in six months.

The outcome
A live platform where students find a room near their school.
- Live and in use, listing dorm buildings near partner universities in Hanoi.
- Search by university, room type and budget, from eight-bed rooms to studios.
- Subscription model in place, built to grow as Homerun adds communities.
- Six months from first design to launch, with a team of three.
